CFP®
The Certified Financial PlannerTM designation is issued by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc, and is granted to individuals who complete a CFP Certification Examination and meet the following prerequisites: bachelor’s degree from an accredited college of university and three years of full time personal financial planning experience. In order to qualify, the candidate must complete a CFP Board registered program. Once issued, the certificant is required to complete ongoing continuing education requirements and maintain the standards administered by the Board.
CMFC®
The Chartered Mutual Fund CounselorTM Designation is issued by the College for Financial Planning and is granted to individuals who complete a study course and pass a CMFC Certification Examination. CMFC certificants are required to complete continuing education requirements and maintain the standards of the College.
